- Sergei Uasyl-ipa Bagapsh (Abkhazian: ?????? ?????-??? ???????, Georgian: ?????? ???????, Russian: ?????? ?????????? ??????; 4 March 1949 – 29 May 2011) was the second President of the Republic of Abkhazia.
- He was Prime Minister from 1997 to 1999 and was later elected as President in 2005.
- He was re-elected in the 2009 presidential election.
- He died on 29 May 2011, at the age of 62, from complications of surgery.
