Johanna Stachel (born 3 December 1954 in Munich) is a German physicist specializing in particle physics and nuclear physics.
She is also a professor in experimental physics at the University of Heidelberg (Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg).
At the CERN International Research Center in Geneva, she does experiments with the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) particle accelerator for her quark-gluon plasma research.
From 2012 to 2014, she was the President of the German Physical Society (DPG).
