Nicknamed Maradona, due to his resemblance to the famous Argentine footballer, Petrovic played for Rijeka, Rad, OFK Beograd, and Proleter Zrenjanin. After retiring from the game, Petrovic was manager of Rad, Sileks, and Pobeda.
