Anton Ivanovich Denikin (Russian: ????´? ???´????? ????´???, IPA: [?n'ton ?'van?v??t? d??'n?ik??n]; 16 December [O.S.
4 December] 1872 – 8 August 1947), a Russian Lieutenant General in the Imperial Russian Army (1916), later served as the second Supreme Leader of Russia (January to April, 1920) during the Russian Civil War of 1917-1922 (though he accepted neither the functions nor the style of Supreme Leader).
