Édouard Axelrad (10 June 1918 – 2006) was a French writer.
Axelrad was born in Paris in June 1918.
He was arrested because he was a Jew and was deported to Auschwitz.
Thanks to his talent as a painter, a German official had mercy for him, and he was in a camp of Sachsenhausen until the end of the war, as he explains in his 1988 book Le Jaune.
