About Fritz Schupp

  • Fritz Schupp (22 December 1896 in Uerdingen; † 1 August 1974 in Essen) was a German architect. He was educated from 1914 to 1917 in Universities of Karlsruhe, München and Stuttgart.
  • Despite working mostly alone, he associated with Martin Kremmer within a company based in Essen and Berlin.
  • From 1949 was Schupp a teacher at T.U.
  • Hannover. He built between 1920 and 1974 69 factories and plants.
  • In Bergbauarchiv (Bochum), 17500 sketches are at searcher's disposal. His more known work was the Zollverein Coal Mine Industrial Complex, UNESCO's World Heritage since 2001.
