Ranko Munitic (Zagreb, 3 April 1943 – Belgrade, 28 March 2009) was a theorist, critic, journalist and art historian – one of the most important experts on popular culture and media in Yugoslavia. His fields of interest were most usually Yugoslav film, cinematographic animation, comics, documentary film, artistic fantasy, television, acting and actors. He was also a film and television screenwriter, director, host and producer.
