Robert Thornton Young (18 February 1894 – 8 September 1960) was an English footballer and manager.
He played for Sunderland throughout his professional playing career, which was largely interrupted by World War I.
He made 50 appearances in the Football League for the club.
He later coached Norwich City.
After the outbreak of the First World War, Young was sent to fight on the continent, where he won a Military Medal.
