His wife is former Morning Musume member and tarento Ai Takahashi.Abe is represented with Yoshimoto Kogyo in Tokyo (Tokyo Yoshimoto, a subsidiary of Yoshimoto Creative Agency). He is the R-1 Grand Prix Champion of 2010.
