Choo Mi-ae (Korean: ???; Hanja: ???; born 23 October 1958) is a South Korean politician of the Democratic Party who has served as member of the National Assembly for Gwangjin, Seoul since 2008.
She previously represented the same constituency between 1996 and 2004.
A former judge, Choo unsuccessfully ran for the leadership of her party twice in 2003 and 2008.
In 2016, she became the leader of Democratic Party and stepped down in 2018.
She was the first female leader of the party and the only leader to have served a full term of 2 years.
