Jan Gwiazdomorski (4 February 1899 – 17 December 1977) was a Polish lawyer. Gwiazdomorski was born in Kraków.
He graduated from Jagiellonian University, obtaining his doctorate in law in 1922.
Two years after graduation, he became senior assistant at the Faculty of Law at the same institution, and after finishing habilitation in 1928 became assistant professor.
He was promoted to associate professor in 1930 and in 1937 became full professor of civil law.
From 1939 to 1940, Gwiazdomorski was imprisoned by the Germans in his hometown, and was sent to Sachsenhausen concentration camp where he remained until the end of the war.
He was liberated, and then returned to Jagiellonian University, where he continued his studies until he graduated from it.
From 1948 to 1956, Gwiazdomorski served as lecturer on family, inheritance and contract laws at the University of Wroclaw.
He returned to Jagiellonian University in 1956 and worked there until his retirement.
Gwiazdomorski was a member of numerous scientific organizations including, the Polish Academy of Learning and the Polish Academy of Sciences, and served on Codification Commission, specializing in civil procedural law.
