About Anna Hanski

  • Anna Milanja Hanski (born September 6, 1970 in Helsinki) is a Finnish singer.
  • Her most famous songs include "Emotions" (Encrypted Lives Series), "If You Do not Call" and "Words Less". In 1993, Hanski recorded the English-language album Gypsies & Indians with singer-songwriter Lee Hazlewood.
  • Before that, Hanski had recorded several songs from Hazlewood in Finnish, the most famous of which is Hazlewood's "Home Wine" ("Summer Wine") made famous by Nancy Sinatra.
  • Anna Hanski presented the song in Finnish in 1990 with Pekka Kaasalainen playing and singing in Vilper's Perikunta.
  • The song is also featured in English with Hazlewood as a duet with the album "Gypsies & Indians". The brightest years of Hanski's career ranged from mid 90's to mid-year, when she was in Ensio Music's backing.
  • Since the mid-1990s, she moved to Fazer Records, although she only recorded two albums (Sanat Small and Living in the Heart).
