  • He was the co-discoverer of Vulpian-Bernhardt spinal muscular atrophy and the Vulpian-Heidenhain-Sherrington phenomenon. Vulpian was born in Paris, France, in 1826.
  • Among other noted discoveries and experiments, Vulpian discovered adrenaline in the adrenal medulla.
