Koldo Izagirre Urreaga (born 21 June 1953 in Pasaia, Gipuzkoa) is an innovative basque writer who has worked in all the genres of literature in its works: poetry, novels, tales...
Moreover, some works of classic authors were translated by Koldo to other languages.
Furthermore, he write some texts for adults but also for young people and for children.
He also has written articles from some journals and magazines and he worked to TV and cinema creating scripts.In 1978 he created the literature magazine Oh! Euzkadi with Ramon Saizarbitoriarekin and with other writers.
In the 1980s he wrote sometimes Panpina Ustela with Bernardo Atxaga.
In 1990 he directed Offeko maitasuna (a film) and he also wrote the script, as he has done for the film Ke arteko egunak.
