About Curt Gallenkamp
- Curt Gallenkamp (17 February 1890 – 13 April 1958) was a German general (General of the Artillery) in the Wehrmacht during World War II and a convicted war criminal.
- He was a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross of Nazi Germany. Gallenkamp surrendered to the British troops in May 1945.
- He was tried for war crimes for the deaths of British paratroops/commandos and an American pilot.
- He was sentenced to be hanged in 1947, but had his sentence commuted to life imprisonment and was released in 1952.
