About Josef Kappl
- Josef Kappl (born 15 January 1950) is a Romanian-German bass player. Born in Petrila, Romania, Kappl was one of the bass players for Romanian rock band Phoenix.
- He graduated from the Music Conservatory in Timisoara.
- He also played the violin and the recorder with Phoenix. He is also a former member of the German rock bands Lake and Verstärkung. In November 2013, a symphonic rock opera he composed, Me?terul Manole, had its premiere in Timi?oara.
