Happy Akhand (12 October 1960 – 28 December 1987) was a Bangladeshi rock singer, songwriter.
He was one of the pioneering rock musician in Bangladesh.
He was the founding member of the rock band Miles.
He is sometimes referred as the Prince of Bangladeshi Music.
His notable songs include the title "???? ??? ?? ??????? (The Evening is Here Again)" and "?? ????? ?????? ??? (Who's Playing the Flute?)".
He died on 28 December 1987, at only 27 years of age.
He was recovering from the addiction of Mandrax (Methaqualone) as he was under certain medication.
However, while having this ongoing treatment one day he took mandrex again.
The dosage had a devastating effect on him because of the chemical reaction of mandrex with the medication.
He collapsed and was taken to the hospital but didn't survive.
