Tyler William Lyons (born February 21, 1988) is an American professional baseball pitcher who is a free agent.
He attended Oklahoma State University (OSU) at Stillwater and played college baseball for the Cowboys.
The New York Yankees selected him in the 10th round of the 2009 amateur draft, but he chose to remain at OSU.
The next year, the St.
Louis Cardinals made him a ninth round pick, and he signed.
He has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the St.
Louis Cardinals, Pittsburgh Pirates, and New York Yankees.
In 2011, while pitching for the Palm Beach Cardinals of the Florida State League in the minor leagues, Lyons pitched the first no-hitter in team history.
He is a three-time recipient of the Pacific Coast League Pitcher of the Week Award.
