Frazier Othel Thompson III (born July 3, 1980), better known by his stage name Trae tha Truth or simply Trae, is an American rapper from Houston, Texas.
He began his career in 1998, making his first appearance on Z-Ro's debut album, Look What You Did to Me.
Establishing himself as a prominent member of the Texas hip hop scene, Trae's solo debut, Losing Composure, was released in September 2003.
Same Thing Different Day came in 2004, followed by Restless in 2006, his debut on Rap-a-Lot Records.
In total, Trae has released 11 solo studio albums, as well as 26 mixtapes and two albums as a part of ABN.
Trae is also known for his I'm On series of singles, which have featured a number of prominent artists since the first installment in 2011.
He is currently signed to T.I.'s Grand Hustle Records. Aside from his solo career, Trae is also known as a member of the underground rap collective Screwed Up Click, as well as one-half of the Southern hip hop duo ABN, and one of the founding members of the group Guerilla Maab, alongside fellow rappers Z-Ro and Dougie D.
