Joseph Abeille (July 14, 1673 in Vannes - February 1756 in Rennes) was a French engineer and architect.
He began his career in 1703 as the French king's engineer.
He distinguished himself at the Battle of Malaga (1704) in the fleet of the Count of Toulouse.
He gained fame as hydraulic engineer.
In Switzerland, he built the Lullin Hotel for Jean-Antoine Lullin-Camp, in Geneva (1707-1712), and drew the plans of the Thunstetten Castle, for (1713-1715).
