Victor Georgievich Veselago (13 June 1929 – 15 September 2018) was a Soviet/Russian physicist.
In 1967, he was the first to publish a theoretical analysis of materials with negative permittivity, e, and permeability, µ.He published his seminal work in a paper entitled "The Electrodynamics of Substances with Simultaneously Negative Values of e and µ".
