About Francesco De Nittis
- Francisco De Nittis (3 July 1933 – 10 March 2014) was a Roman Catholic archbishop and diplomat. Born in Vieste, Italy, De Nittis was ordained a priest in 1956.
- In 1981, he was named titular archbishop of Tunes and then apostolic nuncio to Papua New Guinea and apostolic delegate to the Solomon Islands.
- De Nittis was then appointed apostolic nuncio to El Salvador and Honduras in 1986.
- Finally, he was appointed apostolic nuncio to Uruguay in 1990 resigning in 1999. He died on 10 March 2014 from natural causes at the age of 80.
