About John Forfar
- John Oldroyd Forfar, MC, FRSE (16 November 1916 – 14 August 2013) was a Scottish paediatrician and academic.
- He served in the Royal Army Medical Corps during the Second World War and later became a leading civilian paediatrician.
- He was Professor of Child Life and Health at the University of Edinburgh from 1964 to 1982.
- He was President of the British Paediatric Association from 1985 to 1988, and was instrumental in the founding of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health.
