About Georges Bensoussan

  • Georges Bensoussan (born 17 February 1952) is an award-winning French historian.
  • He is the editor of the Revue d'histoire de la Shoah ("Shoah History Review").
  • He won the Memory of the Shoah Prize from the Jacob Buchman Foundation in 2008.
  • In March 2017, he was acquitted of charges of incitement against Muslims which emerged after he quoted an Algerian scholar and said, "in French Arab families, babies suckle anti-Semitism with their mother’s milk." In September 2019, the Court of Cassation rejected complaints from civil society organizations about incitement to racial hatred against Georges Bensussan.
