Christian Krell (born 20 December 1977 in Siegen) is a German political scientist, adult educator and employee of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation.
Between 1997 and 2003 Krell studied sociology, political science, history and economics at the University of Siegen and the University of York.
From 1998 to 2005 he was a scholarship holder of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation.
Krell did his Ph.D.
in 2006 about European politics of British, German and French social democracy in comparison.
From 2007 to 2016 he headed the Academy for Social Democracy of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation.
During this time he was author and editor of numerous texbooks.
2014 he had been appointed to "Grundwertekommission" of the Social Democratic Party, a commission concerned with the core values of the party.
Since spring 2016 Christian Krell is the leader of the Nordic Office of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation based in Stockholm.
Krell is lecturer at the University of Bonn and was also lecturer and the University of Siegen.
His research emphases are party research, democracy research as well as theory and practice of social democracy.
