- James Andrew McGinty, AM (born 22 September 1949) is a former Western Australian politician.
- He was a Labor member of the Western Australian Legislative Assembly from 1990 to 2009, representing the district of Fremantle.
- He was Labor Party leader and Leader of the Opposition from 1994 to 1996.
- He served as a minister, most notably as Attorney-General, in the governments of Carmen Lawrence, Geoff Gallop and Alan Carpenter.
