About Georg Reismüller
- Georg Reismüller, a librarian was from 1929 to 1935 general director of the Bavarian State Library. From April 1, 1923 to 1928 during the Occupation of the Ruhr he was commissioned to set up the Pfälzische Landesbibliothek Speyer as part of the art funding program, headed this Library, became member of the Bavarian People's Party and befriended with Heinrich Held. Since 1909 (Kingdom of Bavaria) the Bavarian State Library was headed by Hans Schnorr von Carolsfeld in 1929 when he reached retirement the Dean of the House of the directorate of the Bavarian State Library was Georg Leidinger head of the manuscript department.
