  • He was a right-handed batsman and right-arm medium-pace bowler who played for Maharashtra.
  • He was born and died in Sholapur. Ayub made a single first-class appearance for the side, during the 1938-39 season, against Western India.
  • From the lower order, he scored 28 runs in the first innings in which he batted, and, upon being moved up higher in the order in the second innings, scored 8 runs. Ayub bowled 10 overs in the match, conceding 32 runs and taking 3 wickets.
