About Maurizio Chiarini
- Maurizio Chiarini (born 7 September 1950 in Ferrara, Italy), is an Italian businessman and Chairman of SUFER SpA. Chiarini graduated from the University of Bologna.with a Political Science degree with a major in Economics.
- He began his career as the Director of the Economic and Social Research Centre of Ferrara. From 1989 to 1995, he was the Chairman of SUFER SpA, a leading company in the Renewable Energy Sector.
- From 1995 to 1999 he was a partner at SMAER, a management consultancy company in charge of Public Administration, and was a member of the Board of Directors.
- In 1999, he became the Managing Director of Agea SpA and on April 28, 2005 the Board of Directors of Hera Group appointed him CEO, a post he held until 2014.
