Pia Maiocco (born February 25, 1962) is an American bass guitarist and backing vocalist best known as a former member of the all-female hard rock band Vixen.Along with the other members of Vixen she appeared in the 1984 comedy film Hardbodies as the bassist for the fictional band "Diaper Rash".
They also contributed 6 songs to the film's soundtrack which marks Maiocco's only studio tracks with Vixen.
4 of these tracks were also released on the 2018 compilation album Rare Vintage which showcases older Vixen tracks pre-classic lineup and unreleased or bonus tracks from the Vixen and Rev It Up sessions.
No liner notes exist on this album as it is currently a digital only release.She is married to guitarist Steve Vai, whom she met while they were both attending the Berklee College of Music.
She appeared on his album Flex-Able.
They have two children, Fire and Julian Angel.
