Emmett Rensin (born January 20, 1990), originally from Los Angeles, is an American essayist and political commentator who writes from a leftist perspective.
He currently serves as a contributing editor for the Los Angeles Review of Books.
In 2012, he was a founding member of Chicago's First Floor Theater, which won the Chicago Reader's Best of 2013 Poll for "Best New Theater Company".
He is a graduate of the University of Chicago and is currently completing his MFA at the University of Iowa.
