- He played college football at Florida State and was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft.
- He has also played for the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs. After totaling over 1,000 receiving yards in his rookie season, Benjamin missed his sophomore year with a torn ACL.
- He returned in 2016 and caught 941 yards and seven touchdowns.
