While she was with the Bolshoi Ballet in Moscow, she was coached by Raisa Struchkova.
In 2004, she joined the Hungarian National Ballet in Budapest before moving to Amsterdam in 2007 to join the Dutch National Ballet as a principal dancer.Tsygankova's repertoire includes leading roles in several classical ballets including La Bayadère, Swan Lake and Giselle as well as in neoclassical and contemporary ballets by George Balanchine, William Forsythe, Hans van Manen and Wayne Eagling.
She has performed widely as a guest artist in companies including the Vienna State Ballet and the Rome Opera.
In April 2014, she won the Grand Prix at the International Dance Open Festival in Saint Petersburg.
In 2016, Tsygankova took time off from dancing to prepare for her baby's birth.
