- He was also the vice-president of Chinese Patriotic Catholic Association and vice-president of the Bishops Conference of the Catholic Church in China (BCCCC). He was a member of the 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
