About Hans Ola Urstad
- Hans Ola Urstad (born 11 April 1951) is a Norwegian diplomat. He was born in Hidra, took the cand.polit.
- degree and started working for the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1980.
- He served as the secretary of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs from 1991 to 1995 before taking on the consul-general position in San Francisco.
- From 2000 to 2001 he was a special adviser in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, before serving as Norway's ambassador to Serbia and Montenegro from 2001 to 2005 and OSCE delegate in Serbia from 2006 to 2009.
- Following another stint as special adviser at home he served as Norway's ambassador to Malaysia from 2012 to 2017, then embassy secretary in the Philippines.
