- She is a former journalist and editor of the Norwegian Press.
- Unn Irene Aasdalen is (from August 2013) the director of Nansen Academy – Norwegian Humanistic Academy in Lillehammer, Norway. Unn Irene Aasdalen holds a Cand.Phil.
