Basil van Rooyen (born 19 April 1939 in Johannesburg) is a former racing driver from South Africa.
He participated in two Formula One World Championship Grands Prix, debuting on 1 January 1968.
He retired from both, scoring no championship points. Van Rooyen later raced in saloons, notably participating in the 1977 Bathurst 1000, and Formula Atlantic. He currently resides in St Ives, Sydney.
