About Raed Zeiter incident
- Raed Zeiter (c.
- 1976 – 10 March 2014) was a Palestinian individual with Jordanian citizenship who was shot dead by Israeli soldiers on 10 March 2014 at the Allenby Bridge border crossing between the West Bank and Jordan.
- The Israeli soldiers later stated that he was a "terrorist", asserting that he had tried to snatch a weapon from a soldier and had also attacked them with a metal pole.
- The Israeli military's accounting for the incident was disputed both by a witness speaking to the international news media as well as representatives of the government of Jordan, among others.
- The event became an international incident, with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu formally issuing a statement of regret.
