  • Roy Sanders (February 14, 1904 – December 25, 1976) was an educator from rural Chestnut in northern Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana, who was a Democratic member of the Louisiana House of Representatives for a single term from 1948 to 1952, corresponding with the second administration of Governor Earl Kemp Long.An educator, Sanders, a native of Winn Parish, was for twenty-eight years the principal of rural Readhimer High School in Readhimer, north of Chestnut.
