Sheikh Chérif Ousmane Madani Haïdara is a religious figure in Mali.
He is also the current vice-president of the Malian High Islamic Council.
He is a follower of the Maliki school of Islam, and a Sufi.
In 1991, Haïdara established the Sufi-based Islamic movement Ansar Dine not to be confused with the terrorist organization operating in the north of Mali also operating under the same name Ansar Dine (as if to purposefully bring confusion).
The movement is strong in southern Mali, the Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, and centers of Malian diaspora internationally.
