- Ruth Elizabeth Jones McClendon (October 5, 1943 – December 19, 2017) was an American politician from San Antonio, Texas, who represented District 120 in the Texas House of Representatives from 1996 to 2016 as a member of the Democratic Party. On January 6, 2016, Jones in a letter to Governor Greg Abbott announced her resignation from the House effective on January 31.
