Jaroslav Plašil (Czech pronunciation: ['jaroslaf 'pla??l]; born 5 January 1982) is a retired Czech footballer who last played as a midfielder for Ligue 1 club Bordeaux.
He spent most of his career in France with Monaco and Bordeaux, making over 350 Ligue 1 appearances.
He played more than 250 times for the latter, and captained them to victory in the 2012–13 Coupe de France.
He also played two seasons with Osasuna in Spain and one on loan to Catania in Italy.
Plašil has earned over 100 caps for the Czech Republic since his debut in 2004.
He represented them at four UEFA European Championships and the 2006 FIFA World Cup.
