About Nayden Todorov

  • Nayden Todorov (Bulgarian: ?????? ???????; born Plovdiv 1974) is a Bulgarian conductor. NAYDEN TODOROV was voted Musician of the Year 2018 in the national poll of the Allegro Vivace program at the Horizont station of the Bulgarian National Radio – receiving the accolade for the second time after winning the 2013 audience vote.
  • A talented conductor and winner of many awards, Mr.
  • Todorov has been awarded twice the Crystal Lyre Prize – in 2005 for his performance of Gustav Mahler's Second Symphony with the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra, and in 2016 for his activities with the State Opera of Rousse.
  • He is also winner of the 2014 Emil Chakarov Prize, and had the title Honorary Citizen of the City of Rousse bestowed on him in 2016.
  • He was also awarded accolades from the Slovak Musical Fund, Vienna's Rotary Club, the Borghese Foundation, the Sofia Award for the operatic production of Gounod's Faust at the National Opera and Ballet House of Sofia; the Golden Stave Award for his contribution to the proliferation of Bulgarian music; the Golden Book Award for his substantial contribution to the propagation of Bulgarian culture, and the award of the Georg Wechter Foundation – Switzerland.
