About Thisuri Wanniarachchi
- Thisuri Wanniarachchi (Sinhala: ?????? ???????????) is a Sri Lankan author.
- She is known for her book Colombo Streets, which she began writing when she was fourteen years old and which won a 2009 State Literary Award.
- Wanniarachchi received her primary and secondary education at St Bridget's Convent in Colombo, Sri Lanka and she went on to study at the British School in Colombo She received her BA in Political Science from Bennington College and is currently pursuing a PhD in Public Policy at the University of Colombo.
- She is President Maithripala Sirisena's current Assistant Director of Sustainable Development and the youngest political appointee to serve in his administration.
- Wanniarachchi resigned from her position in the Sirisena Administration in the immediate aftermath of the unconstitutional coup of October 2018.
