Mao Sareth (Khmer: ??? ?????? pronounced [maw sa?.'re?t]) was a Cambodian musician producing work from 1950-1970's.
Mao was born in 1944 in the Battambang District that is currently Thmar Kol.
Her birth name was Pol Sarann.
Her work is influenced from western music blended with Khmer instrumentation.
She has performed with Sin Sisamouth in the Sangkum Reastr Niyum Regime.
Along with most of the popular music singers of the era, she was killed by the Khmer Rouge during the Cambodian Civil War.Her work influenced Ros Serey Sothea and a generation of Cambodian musicians before Khmer Rouge era of the late 1970s.
