Anthony Joseph Crean (13 June 1911 – 21 March 1975) was an English Roman Catholic priest who was murdered by serial killer Patrick Mackay.Crean was born in Brentford, Middlesex, England.
Fr.
Crean had served the Gibraltar Diocese, and was in semi-retirement.
He was acting as chaplain in Shorne, Kent, at the time of his murder.
On 22 March 1975, Mackay chased down and brutally murdered Crean with an axe in the small Shorne cottage where he lived.
