  • Francis Xavier University and Loyola College in Montreal, Quebec.
  • Tobin placed hockey with the Victorias and the Terra Novas.
  • He also coached hockey and later was a hockey referee.
  • Tobin served 50 years as secretary of the Newfoundland Hockey League.
