- Born to Anglo-Indian parents in Mumbai, he is known for his stage and screen roles as a character actor.
- Denzil has acted in over 45 plays and 50 films.He has a long-standing association with both Motley Productions for Waiting for Godot and The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial, and PrimeTime Theatre for Guahar, August: Osage County and Sammy.
