He was included in the Northerns cricket team squad for the 2015 Africa T20 Cup.
He plays for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Shukri Conrad, South Africa's National Academy coach believes that Klaasen could become South Africa's equivalent of MS Dhoni.
