Jalal Barjes (Arabic: ???? ????) is a Jordanian poet and novelist.
He won Katara Prize for Arabic Novel 2015, for his novel (snakes of fire / Ali Bin Mahmoud Alqassad love story), and (rifqa doudin's prize for narrative creativity) for his novel (dreamer guillotine), and (roks ben zaeid al uzaizy prize for narrative creativity), for his short fiction (Earthquake).
Jalal barjes was born in 6 March 1970 at Hanina village near Madaba, Jordan, he graduated in its schools, and then studied aeronautical engineering and worked in this field for many years, then he moved to work in the Jordanian press as an editor in the (Alanbat) newspaper , and then as a reporter for the (Adustour) newspaper.
then he returned to work in his past career.
He started publishing his books and articles in the late nineties, in cultural Arab and Jordanian newspapers and journals. he Worked as a managing editor for a number of cultural magazines such as (Madaba magazine), and (pioneers magazine).
In addition to editors heading for (Amkina) journal which concerned of the ethics of the place, He wrote poetry, short fiction, literary articles, and the texts of the place, and the novel.
